Bring Pitch Point to Your Classroom in 2026

Pitch Point is an exciting, real-world entrepreneurship competition for business students across Thames Valley. It’s a classroom-based project that culminates in a high-energy pitch competition hosted at Fanshawe College—with $2,500 in cash prizes awarded to the top three teams.

Pitch Point gives students the chance to:

  • Create an original business idea

  • Build a pitch with guidance from mentors

  • Compete in a live event judged by real entrepreneurs

  • Win cash to help launch their ideas

This experience is curriculum-aligned with BEP 2O (Launching and Leading a Business) and supports key learning outcomes in several other business courses, including marketing and entrepreneurship.

Why Participate?

  • Experiential learning that matters – Students gain confidence, creativity, and communication skills.

  • Curriculum-aligned – The program integrates naturally with the grade 10 Launching and Leading a Business (BEP 2O) course and other business-focused classes, specifically Marketing (BMI 3C) and Entrepreneurship (BDI 3C).

  • Free resources – You'll have access to slide decks, rubrics, sample videos, and other classroom-ready materials from participating teachers.

  • Meaningful engagement – Your students will connect with business leaders and other young entrepreneurs.

  • $2,500 in cash prizes – The top three teams across Thames Valley will share $2,500 in prize money.

How It Works

  1. In-class pitch development (led by you)

  2. Mentor classroom visits (coordinated by the Fanshawe College team)

  3. Video pitch submission + feedback (led by you with judging led by Fanshawe College)

  4. Live pitch competition at Fanshawe College

You’ll choose your school’s top team(s) to advance. Semifinals and finals happen on one high-energy day in June 2026, with a streamlined format to keep things fast-paced and fun.

Who Can Participate?

Grade 10 business, marketing, or entrepreneurship classes—whether offered in Semester 1 or Semester 2. Not sure how to make it fit? We’re happy to help you find the best approach for your schedule.
